It works I use it I would like more amps

Fun nice to have on trips.

Really Fantastic, super-realistic Fender tone!

Im really impressed with the Fender package. Ive been playing a Telecaster through a Fender Twin Reverb for years, and I am shocked how true-to-life the app translates Fenders iconic tone. The various effects and amps seem to be priced reasonably, though I do wish that purchases crossed over into the other versions of the app (I.e. the 4 track recorder). Also, Id like to be able to try out some of the effects before deciding upon purchasing; I dont want to drop $2.99, only to realize I paid for a stomp Ill never use. Maybe you could add a trial period or a limited functionality version of stomps so we could sample them? Altogether, its great, and the customer support is quick and efficient. ---epilogue---- So after using and recording with this app for a few weeks, Im even more convinced of its excellence. If youre unsure about the multi-track recorder, TAKE THE PLUNGE, its well worth it! I use it every day and its become a valuable songwriting tool. Its amazing how convenient it is to immortalize ideas so you dont lose them. I would, however, like to see more options in the gear shop, i.e. stomp boxes that arent made by Fender, like maybe some delay. The amp options are top-notch; I purchased the Super-Sonic and am thrilled with it.

my feedback on theirs

I was happy with this app and the original amplitube for a few days and they were working well until today. Now I have very little sound because I cant turn up the volume without a ton of feedback. On both apps. Besides, each add-on costs as much as apples much better garage band app.

Need to buy

It was good at first but I need to buy it now so i can get more things

Weird digital noises

The amp sims are ok, but I hoped for more from a licensed Fender app. The reverb causes some strange & irritating digital artifact noise (reminiscent of Line 6 Pod sounds that drove me nuts.) The Deluxe Reverb sounds harsh when pushed, not like the real amp. I bought the full version of this app & some of the other amps are better & more natural sounding. This app has some good features, but there are better amp sim apps out there (JamUp is #1 & AmpKit is a close 2nd.)

Not worth the price (free).....

Cannot get volume of guitar to be loud enough in headphones to override the hiss and crackle. Worthless.

Be careful in App purchases are expensive and….

The idea of the App is great, but be aware, in App purchases are not compatible between the free Version and also not with the Iphone version…..i wouldnt spend more money on it, before the in App purchases are transferable between the free/full version iphone and ipad….we payed for it !

far inferior to JamUp pro

the tone simulation in jam up pro is WAY better- dont waste your $$$!

Good app

Great app, but it crashes when you try to upload some songs

Will not wok park anymore

I used to use this with AudioBus, and not it shuts AudioBus down.

Metealhead

If you would just make the fender metalhead available as an in app purchase I would buy it in a heartbeat

Works w/o a hitch!

...They could improve it by having a SPINAL TAP VERSION that goes to 11...Im just sayin

Freezes immidiatly

Im using iPhone 4 and app freezes right after I open the app.

Great guitar app even for my Gibson!

I love having a tuner some amps and some pedals that will fit in my pocket. Its an inexpensive and reliable way to take my sound with me.

This stuff is awful.

For Christmas, my kids bought me this company’s iRig BlueBoard (foot pedal), iRig Midi Interface and iRig Microphone together with a suite of relevant software (AmpliTube, etc.) Nothing worked. And, perhaps I should explain that for 40 years I was a professor of mathematics and cognitive science at Northwestern, UMass, Purdue, and Indiana Universities - as well as being a software developer and experienced user of computer-based technologies. I’ve now retired and play a harmonica in several local bands (blues, country, rock, bluegrass). I mention this only to make it clear that I’m not an inexperienced user of these kinds of technologies. When I first experienced problems with IK Multimedia’s gadgets and software, I contacted their tech support people, and all they did was to tell me to read their manuals. I did this. And, to prove that I read the manuals thoroughly, I went though one of the manuals and make line-by-line editorial comments pointing out how nearly every sentence was either: (1) unhelpful, (2) completely unclear, (3) incomplete, or (4) completely wrong (in the sense that what was said simply wasn’t accurate). Then, I once again simplified my questions and contacted IK’s tech support people. This time, I did get a few suggestions about possible solutions to my problems. But, once again, virtually every sentence in this message was either: (1) completely unclear, (2) incomplete, or (3) completely wrong (in the sense that what was said simply wasn’t accurate). Also, the tech support person stated that some of the problems that I confronted could only be solved by purchasing more equipment that performed functions that IK Multimedia’s web site claims that their products are intended to do. Next, I tried going to IK Multimedia’s web site to see if there were other ways to get technical support. The contact numbers that were given reported that “the tech support lines were down.” And now, three days later, “the lines are still down." I’ve now seem to have no options except to ask for my money back on these purchases. … If you want to get a quick verification of what I’ve said, try downloading the things that are called “users manuals” for IK Multimedia’s products. The shortcomings will be obvious. These “users manuals” are not really users manuals at all. The simply describe what the products claim to do, but they give almost no information about how you (the user) could actually do any of these things. Also, these “users guides” contain a bunch of nearly identical photographs which contribute almost nothing to the meaningfulness of the text. … In more than 40 years of using a lot of computer-based tools, I’ve never encountered anything this bad in terms of overstated claims, completely useless “users guides”, and dismal tech support.

Dont Buy This!!

First of all its simply a waste of money. Can hardly hear so practicing my guitar with headphones is a no deal. Patching it to an amplifier only highlights the problems inherent in this device. Im going to take it back to the store and get rid of amplitude on my iPhone.I suppose I could download better sounding amps more boxes but they come with a price tag. This base amplitude app is just a ploy to get you to buy more merchandise.

Think again

This app sounds awful through headphones, and sounds only a little better through a pair of powered speakers. The free version will unlock a compressor pedal if you register it, but mostly they want you to start making purchases right away. I wouldnt describe the tone as useable, its strangely weak/quiet unless you use the compressor as a clean boost. I cant imagine any guitar player enjoying what this "amp" does to your tone.

Awesome app

Came with iRig HD. It is awesome to change up amp sounds. If it doesnt work for you, you just dont know what youre doing.

Really impressed

GarageBand amp simulators sound sadly artificial compared to this one. Nearly legit tube tone, actual sustain, decent overdrive -- Id choose this FREE app over a solid state amp (barf) any day. Sorry, but I dont really see a need to purchase the upgrade bundles unless youre one of those inexplicable nerds who wants to play like The Edge. This thing sounds cool, as is.

How Do I Simply Turn This App Off?

I have the Amplitube app on my iPod. When Im done with it I tap out of the app yet it persists in pulsating on a red banner that hijacks the top of my screen. How do I simply pull the plug on this app for now without deleting it entirely? Wheres the OFF switch? Tried to contact you through the app but the COUNTRY menu does not pull down so nothing can be sent. Im gonna have to delete my Amplitude apps now because I cant simply quit them.
